The vision of the Parents
and Citizens Association (P&C) of Chatswood Public School is to ensure
that all students at the school receive a quality education
encompassing both academic and non academic pursuits in an inclusive
and safe learning environment.
To achieve this, the P&C has prepared a Management Plan which provides
information on the aims of the P&C and its constitution. To achieve
the vision, Chatswood Public School P&C will strive to:
- Raise funds to provide resources, facilities and
equipment for the school.
- Increase parental participation in the school.
- Ensure that quality extra curricular activities
are provided.
- Work in partnership with the school staff to
achieve common goals.
- Review the school's performance both academically
and socially with the school's management team.
- Promote and facilitate open communication amongst
the school community.
For further details, see the P&C Management Plan,
which is available on request. |

| Please direct any general
correspondence for the P&C to the Secretary, either by mail or e-mail.
The parents on the executive have children across the

of all children and parents within the school community.

| As the scope of these
committees and activities indicate, the P&C at Chatswood plays a vital
role in maintaining and enhancing the educational and extra-curricula

Financing
The P&C raises money to support school programs and
development projects. While there are a variety of fund raising
activities which take place throughout the year, the largest
proportion of P&C funds are currently raised through a voluntary
parent contribution. The contribution for 2003 is:
The funds raised through the P&C 's voluntary parent
contribution are passed directly on to the school on a regular basis,
and form an essential component of the school’s revenue. The money is
used in the provision of teaching resources across all the key
learning areas. The funds provided by the P&C supplement the funds
provided by the Department of Education and Training and help to
provide the monies needed to meet the goals outlined in the School's
Annual Report.
